Character: Misty Fandom: Pokémon (Gotta catch 'em all 8D ) Character Notes: In lining up canon with the other Poké-muns (hah, I made a pun), it'll be OLD SCHOOL Misty. She's a hot headed Water-type trainer, who has a vendetta on one Ash Ketchum for destroying her bike (even though it was technically Pikachu's fault but HEY she doesn't know that). She does have a caring side, it just...doesn't show very often. Unless you're one of her Pokémon. Then you're golden~
Prompt: 6. Bubbles
It had been another long day on the road, full of bad turns, no food, and yet another pitfall trap by Team Rocket. Having excused herself from the boys in favor of a little alone time, Misty now found herself sitting beside a lake in the forest, staring across it boredly. Normally she enjoyed watching the sunset play across the reflective surface of water but tonight? It did little to cheer her up any, although part of that may have been the rumble in her stomach that insisted on interrupting the moment every few minutes. Sighing again she fell back onto the grass, looking up at the darkening sky now. When a bubble crossed her vision her eyebrows knit in perplexity, and she pushed herself up to her elbows to get a look around.
It only took a few moments of searching before she found the source: a Poliwag was sitting by the shore a few yards away from her, happily blowing a Bubble attack into the air again and again. As Misty watched it, it continued to produce the little bubbles, occasionally letting out a happy squeal when they bounced together in the air, or whenever the breeze caught them and played them around each other. It wasn't until the sun had almost completely set that the Poliwag stopped, blowing a final bubble up towards the sky. It, and Misty as well, watched it rise up and up, popping high above the surface of the water. She looked back at the Pokémon but found it gone; it was in the lake now, returning home.
Misty looked back up at the sky, watching the stars gradually wink on, and she smiled. Something about watching the little Poliwag at play had done what the "lake therapy" had not, and she stood up from the grass to return to camp now, considerably more cheered than before.
