Information Permissions Post
With gods, psychics, and rabid fangirls roaming our community ICly, the questions arise: how much of another character's canon does a character have access to? Are there things a player would rather keep under wraps? And are there things that omniscients should know about your character?
Please respond to this post with any information characters should know ICly (for example, if they can read minds) or that you'd prefer to keep secret (like your character's alter-ego).
When in doubt, the best rule of thumb is to contact a player before making any revelations about their characters. Sure, your character reads manga and knows that Light is Kira -- but maybe the mun wants to try and keep it under wraps.

Information: She was chosen by the spirit of the earth to fight crazy people who live to pollute and cause wars and basically wreck stuff.
Accessible to: Anyone; she's pretty open about it. All Anglophone 90's children are highly encouraged to fourth-wall her.

Information: She was selected without her knowledge for a genetic experiment, turning her into a magical porpoisegirl. Upon her introduction into the game, her new powers had given her an identity crisis and her fear that someone would find out drove her to attack everyone who tried, creating an urban legend in her world about a hostile ghost at her school. Later, she joins up with fellow experiments to become a magical girl team fighting pointy-eared aliens and mutant monsters.
Accessible to: Anyone who sees her transform; anyone who sees her using her auxiliary powers without transforming (water control, glowing green); anyone who would have been around from 2000-2002 in a regular Earth and had access to her manga/show.
