First Person (entry type): Hello! Mion Sonozaki, here! Man, it’s no wonder Rena’s here; if it has to do with ducks, she’s bound to stick around. I hope she hasn’t tried to take any of you guys home.
You guys can’t all be from Hinamizawa, though. Alright, then! Your first assignment is to tell me your name and where you’re from! Anyone who refuses to complete this task will be subjected to a penalty game! Rena, your task is to report to me anyone who tries to get out of doing this!
….Eheh….Sorry. Guess I got a bit carried away, there. Still, it’d be nice if I could at least know your guy’s names.
Third Person: It should be weird, the things that she did, and yet it all felt completely natural. Mion was used to having two faces; one was shown to her friends, while the other was placed on in front of her family and the rest of the village heads. Sometimes she couldn’t help but think about what came more naturally to her. She shook her head, looking over and laughing at Keiichi’s exasperated expression. Once again he had lost to her penalty game, and was currently forced to wear cat ears and a tiger-striped leotard.
Oh well. For now, she wasn’t Mion Sonozaki, the next head of the family and her grandmother’s spokesperson. No, she was just plain old Mion, leader of their little club and queen of the penalty games. Even if both sides did come naturally to her, this was what she enjoyed most in life. Looking at the smiling and embarrassed faces of her friends, she wouldn’t have life any other way.
