Mello 2/?

[identity profile] gonnabe1st.livejournal.com 2009-05-09 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
History:
Mello was born as Mihael Keehl, though it is not revealed who his parents were or where he is actually from. It is assumed he was orphaned very early on in life, and grew up in Wammy's House, an orphanage for gifted children in Winchester, England. Not so much an orphanage but rather a training facility, it would turn out, for children with exceptional intelligence level or those gifted with equally exceptional skills. Since the main objective of this orphanage was to raise the next 'L', the best detective and presumably the most intelligent person on the planet, it made for a very competetive environment.
Mello grew up being second best. As much as he hated losing, as much as he tried and worked and studied, in the end he was never able to beat Near. And while Mello struggled and did his best every inch of the way, his rival never seemed to put in any effort at all.
L himself had not yet decided which of the boys should succeed him when he was killed by the mass-murderer Kira. That is why Roger, the head of the orphanage, suggested that Mello and Near work together, in favor of choosing one of them over the other. Mello declined, leaving the orphanage at age 14 to find his own way of bringing Kira down.
In the years that followed not much is revealed of what exactly he was doing, but at age 19 he had become the advisor of a very influential gang in the United States. The plan was to blackmail the Japanese police force into giving up the Death Note they had acquired – so they kidnapped the director. However, he knew nothing of any notebook and gets killed by Kira to avoid having to trade the second notebook. Mello proceeded to have Sayu Yagami kidnapped, daughter of Soichiro Yagami, who was in charge of the task force trying to catch Kira – and also, Light Yagami's, and thus Kira's - sister.
Everything was set up perfectly, and Mello managed to get his hands on the Death Note. What they had not planned was that the Task Force was able to find out their location a while later, effectively wiping out the entire mob, and forcing Mello into the most reckless action yet – blowing up the entire building, with all of the task force as well as himself still inside. Though he survived the attack and the explosion, his real name was revealed to Kira, which would eventually lead to his death.
Marked with severe burn scars from the incident, he reappeared several months later, forcing his way into the headquarters of Near's special forces, the SPK. Retrieving the only photograph of himsef from Near, he leaves him with a hint of information on the fake rules in the Death Note. Between the two of them, they declare a race to catch Kira before Mello disappears once again. As if trading for the photograph though, he sets up a way of getting one of the Task Force members to talk to Near personally – even though he is also doing this to get information himself, this helps further Near's investigation quite a bit.
The next time Mello is shown, he is already working with his friend Matt. There is still indirect contact with Near, a way of them to exchange favors and hints, even if they are not officially working together. Matt and Mello proceed to tail Mogi and Aizawa, leading to their observation of both Amane Misa and the Task Force's headquarters. This also brings Mello to the conclusion that the person who took up L's name after the real L had died was Yagami Light, Yagami Soichiro's son. Soon after that, the two of them follow Amane and the Task Force back to Japan.

Current Characters: Birkin

Character: Roderich Edelstein/Austria
Fandom: Axis Powers Hetalia
Character Notes:
History: Austria is an extremely old country, so I’m just going to focus on the parts of its history that are relevant to Roddy’s personality/the Hetalia “canon”. I’ll write more if you want me to fill in the gaps, I just don’t want to force you guys to have to read paragraph upon paragraph of Austrian history where nothing of consequence to the plot happens.
Thanks to the Habsburg family which ruled Austria, and by extension the Holy Roman Empire, from the end of the 13th century to the start of WWI, Austria has long been associated with wealth and opulence. For most of its history, Austria was a Duchy, which was only changed after WWI thanks to the trouble that Archduke Franz Ferdinand caused to the rest of the world. Thanks to the Treaty of Carlowitz signed in 1699, Hungary became joined with Austria.
Before Marie Theresa (a Habsburg) could ascend to the throne as Archduchess, a series of wars broke out to control the German-speaking people began between Austria and Prussia, the two largest Germanic states at the time. The whole thing was started when Prussia, who was allied with France, decided that a woman was forbidden to rule. Austria, knowing that there was no such law ever stated, wasn’t willing to interrupt the Habsburgs’ power, thus starting the War of Austrian Succession. During the first year of the war, Prussia invaded Silesia, which was taken very personally. Austria essentially fought with Prussia until he was kicked out of the German Federation after being defeated in the last decisive battle of the Austro-Prussian War. It’s important to note that there were an additional four wars between Austrian Succession and the Austro-Prussian thus prompting the two countries to hate each other forever and ever. Or at least until Germany later engulfed Prussia in 1934.
After Ferdinand’s assassination and the completion of WWI, the Austria-Hungary Empire was split into Austria and Hungary, although the two nations remained extremely close thanks to their joint cultures. In 1938, Germany and Austria united under the Third Reich, which is commonly known as the Anschluss.
Personality: Roderich is rather behind the times, much preferring to live in the past than the present thanks, in part, to his stubborn nature. Despite the waning military power, he despises being taken lightly. However, he is much more optimistic and quiet than his fellow Germanic countries. When he does speak, Roderich is careful to speak very elegantly and politely. He doesn’t enjoy working very hard and values music and art and food much more than war. Roderich is the type of guy to always put himself and his hobbies (mostly playing the piano or violin) above others, and usually expects other people to do things for him, such as bringing him tea.
Other: The little group of hair sticking out of the top of his head represents the city of Mariazell. His glasses represent all the great classical music that’s been written by an Austrian composer. Needless to say, he’s very protective of both.

Austria 2/2

[identity profile] touchofgenius.livejournal.com 2009-05-09 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
First Person (entry type): What an interesting name this place has. So, I assume this community is about plays and the like? I certainly hope everyone here is welcoming to the other arts, as well. Personally, I enjoy the piano. Although the violin is a fine instrument as well, wouldn’t you agree? Oh, how rude of me to not introduce myself. I am Roderich Edelstein, but most people simply call me Austria. I eagerly await getting to know all of you a bit better. Perhaps you can tell me a bit about the countries you live in? I would love to hear about all the different cultures that exist outside of Europe. I would really appreciate learning something about your home’s music, in particular. Danke schön!

Third Person: His practiced hands touched the keys, ending the silence that had become heavy. Roderich’s eyes closed as he listened to his playing. He’d practiced this melody so many times before he didn’t even need to look at the music. It was better that way; the passion was much more obvious when the fundamentals had been memorized. Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 8 flowed through the house, as Roderich’s fingers fluttered over his well-loved piano. Every chipper note reminded the Austrian of birds singing in the morning, sitting perched on a tree. Or maybe even rain falling on a lake, the lower, more ominous notes would have to be thunder or the wind or some such thing. Or maybe it was supposed to be –
Roderich’s eyes snapped open as he hit a wrong note. With an annoyed sigh, he realized that he evidently should have practiced a bit more. Staring intently at the sheet music, he began practicing the section that made him ruin the song, angry at himself for letting his mind wander so far away from the notes themselves.

Current Characters: Fuu Hououji, Simon the Digger, Itsuki Tachibana

Character: Mariya Shidou (pre-canon)
Fandom: Maria+Holic
Character Notes:
History: I suppose a good place to start would be to say that Mariya's late grandmother was the chairman of two prestigious religious schools, separated by gender. The heirs to these schools were the Shidou twins, Mariya and Shizu. When she passed on, she left this challenge to decide who would inherit chairmanship of both schools: Each of the twins would attend the school meant for the opposite gender, to get to know how the opposite gender thought. Mariya would attend Ame no Kisaki and Shizu, the connected boy's school. If either of them was found out to be their real gender, they would lose chairmanship and the other would win. Mariya went with this for his entire school career, until, one day, the day before he entered high school, a transfer student, Miyamae Kanako (a lesbian looking for her "yuri partner" with Mariya as her ideal canidate), stumbled upon his maid, Matsurika, lacing up his corset. Since Kanako isn't a student just yet, Mariya swears her to silence, and goes as far as to stalk her and move into her dorm room to make sure Kanako doesn't tell. He watches her every move. Every. Single. One. Being rich, he totally can, too. However, the point where I'm taking him from, he is just graduating middle school and going into high school, so none of this Kanako business has happened yet.
Personality: Maryia comes across as a sweet girl. She's organized, helpful and kind. There is never a moment when she is not selflessly helping another or generously donating her time. Being the freshman class president, most of the girls at Ame no Kisaki look up to her. But as much as Mariya isn't a girl, he isn't any of those things, either. Mariya Shidou is a monster. When he shows his true colors, he's haughty and sadistic, using every weakness he knows of on his victim. He's observant, and can see through people easily, which he ALWAYS uses to his advantage. He's gone as far as to threaten and use his own twin sister to get what he wants (though he claims it's out of love). I'm sure he has a heart in there somewhere, as he does try to help others quite often--or is that just because he wants to keep up his image?
Other: Mariya is a member of the archery team, the freshman class president and a highly respected member of the student body. He also has breast-envy aginst the student body president, whom he has a long rivalry with. His maid, Matsurika, follows him EVERYWHERE. And he often uses her to get what he needs, going as far as to rip open her blouse to peg Kanako as a sexual offender.

First Person (entry type):
[Strikes can't be seen :D]
This is strange. I wonder if my computer has contracted some sort of virus, as this is the only website I can access. The hell is this place? Ducks and Drama? What a bore. Probably some kid's idea of having fun. Morons. Since it's a networking site of some sort, I should introduce myself, shouldn't I? I'm Mariya Shidou, and I'll be entering my first year of high school in a few days, at Ame no Kisake, the pretegious girl's Christian school. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I've sent Matsurika-chan to fetch a programmer from the school. Really how long is she going to take? Useless. Unfortunately, they're rather inexperienced, as dorm students are not allowed to have personal computers, and it is rare for the school's systems to break down. Will something like that work? Feed back would be most appreciated! ^_^

Third Person:
The theme of the picnic was “strawberries,” he read off of his invitation. Strawberries. Why strawberries? Mariya hated strawberries. They were bitter little fruits with almost no nutritional value—from what he understood, you burned more calories chewing than you gained from them—and the little seeds annoyed him. He didn't understand what girls found so amazing about them, but he'd yet to meet a girl who said she disliked strawberries. So he ate them, too. Over the years, he'd had a lot of trouble blending in. This was something trivial. It had been much easier in elementary school when all he had to do was wear a dress and keep quiet about his extra parts. Somewhere in middle school, all the girls hit puberty, and, of course, he had to follow suit. Now that he was older, the corset and fake breasts were becoming more and more awkward. He could rarely take them off, or risk losing the bet.

Frustrated, he sighed and tossed the invitation into the trash, before spinning around in his chair, to face Matsurika. He held out his feet for her. She slipped his loafers onto them. She then handed him his school bag.

Mariya smiled, and laughed a little as he passed a mirror. Ready to start the day.

Character: Mail Jeevas/Matt
Fandom: Death Note (manga)
Character Notes:
History: Matt doesn't have much canon history. We do know that he was orphaned at a young age and grew up at the prestigious Wammy's House in Winchester, England alongside Mello and Near. Wammy's House was more than just an orphanage, however, as it prided itself on housing the extremely intelligent and gifted children. While this was all fine and dandy for some kids, Matt wasn't particularly driven to become the next 'L' as some of the others were. Thus, he was happy seated in third place for his time there.

He got along well with the other children he bothered to speak with and had no trouble making friends, but he wasn't a very social child and would rather keep to his video games and computers. The two children he did get to know were in the top seats at Wammy's, Mello and Near. Given Near's almost indifferent nature, Matt preferred to be around the more animated (not to mention violent) Mello. Mello and Near would soon be the only people he kept touch with upon leaving Wammy's.

When the news of L's death came, Wammy's House became somewhere Matt couldn't see himself taking residency in anymore. Mello had left and Near soon followed, Matt was left with an environment he no longer felt like tolerating and made his own departure. It isn't known where exactly he went or what exactly he did, but it seems implied that he kept contact with Mello.

It's easy to say that in their time apart, Matt continued with using the skills he acquired at Wammy's and did some freelance work. With his ability to deftly hack into almost any computer system and his eye for detail, Matt could be very valuable to anyone seeking assistance in that field. As true to his nature, he never gives out his real name and always works under an Alias. Leaving a metaphorical bread crumb trail isn't in his wiring.

Personality: Matt is in all senses antisocial. He doesn't enjoy surrounding himself with people or entertaining them. Given the opportunity, he is able to make friends and has quite the character to back it up. Most of his social interaction comes from his work or Mello though. While working, Matt is quite the charmer and can come off as confident and casual. With that said, he's good at pretending.

When his guard is down, Matt is a pretty weird guy. He likes to talk about video games and make awkward jokes that only he seems to get. He doesn't smile very often, but is good at making strange faces when he's thinking or bored. It's really a surprise Mello tolerates that relatively well. He should though, given that Mello is really the only person aside from Near (on occasion) that gets to see that side of him.

[identity profile] jackdante.livejournal.com 2009-05-10 09:03 am (UTC)(link)
Character Notes:

History:

(This includes a little about James Logan as the two characters are so closely linked.)

Victor Creed was born around 1835 in Canada, and is the half-brother of James Logan, otherwise known as Wolverine. After Logan killed their drunken father in a fit of rage, the half-brothers fled, surviving and fighting alongside each other through several major wars including the American Civil War, both World Wars and the conflict in Vietnam. After Creed attempted to rape a Vietnamese woman and then attacked his American allies, both he and Logan were sentenced to death by firing squad.

Having survived their 'deaths' - thanks to their regenerative abilities - Creed and Logan were drafted into a military squad of mutants under the command of a Major Stryker. However, this team turned out to be brutal and vicious in their methods, killing innocents if Stryker saw fit to do so. Logan couldn't bear to carry out any more atrocities and left the group; Creed seemed to enjoy carrying out Stryker's orders, and stayed.

Six years after Logan's departure from the group, Creed secretly continued to work with Stryker, hunting down young mutants for his Weapon XI project and tricking Logan into receiving an adamantium coating to his skeleton; Creed's deal with Stryker was that he would receive the same technology. After Stryker went back on the deal Creed's loyalty to Stryker seems to have vanished, and Creed helped Logan to defeat Weapon XI.

Character: Gippal
Fandom: Final Fantasy X-2
Character Notes:
History:
A lot of Gippal's history is up for speculation: we don't know anything about him before he joined the Crimson Squad, including how he got that snazzy eyepatch. So. What we do know is that around the same time as the events of FFX (two years before his current point in canon), he joined the candidates for the Crimson Squad, an elite military group-type-thing; he'd apparently wanted to join the Crusaders (an organization of volunteer warriors that defend people from Sin,) but Al Bhed weren't allowed. Anyway, so with his teammates (whom someone should totally app) Baralai, Nooj, and Paine, he went through training; the final exercise required them to go into a cave called the Den of Woe. Inside the cave, Shuyin's spirit basically drove everyone crazy, and almost all of the candidates killed each other. Only Gippal's group survived.
When they got out, though, the officials in charge of the Squad tried to kill them. They escaped, only to have a still-possessed Nooj shoot his comrades.
A sphere you can find in the game shows that he was around for the destruction of the Al Bhed Home, and sometime between games he started the Machine Faction. Other than that, there's nothing really about what he did in the two years between games.
During FFX-2, he doesn't have a whole lot of scenes, but basically he ends up helping Yuna and the girls fight Vegnagun, this giant robot/bug/superweapon (http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/File:Vegnagun.jpg), so that Shuyin can't use it to destroy Spira.

Bits of conversation in game suggest that he and Rikku go way back, whether his bit about them being "quite the couple" was true or not. Also, Brother doesn't like him; who knows how that came about (if he *did* date Rikku, it could be an overprotective older sibling thing.)

Personality:
Cocky Confident, a bit of a flirt, he actually seems like a fun guy to be around. A bit on the lazy side, maybe (see: his not actually bothering to interview Yuna and the girls for the dig.

Although, to be fair, anyone with a brain would know the three of them were capable.), and his underlings complain about him wandering off in-game, but he can be a leader if he has to. He kept the Faction neutral before and throughout the game- that had to take skill.

Someone over at the rp_advice_meme also pointed out something I hadn't really thought of at first- he was a soldier, he's seen some nasty things (see above)- he's not a total softy, even though he doesn't seem to take things too seriously.

Re: Gippal (1/2)

[identity profile] technobubblegum.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 02:42 am (UTC)(link)

Other:
This is probably better suited to the History section, but Gippal is an Al Bhed. Prior to the Eternal Calm, they were the target of racism and ostracism by pretty much the rest of Spira, since they don't follow the teachings of Yevon and continue to use machina (in FFX-2, Gippal and his Faction are calling them machines in order to get past the old stigma.)

Also, they have swirly pupils which should probably be biologically impossible (at least for humans.)

I'm playing him from after FFX-2, but I won't have him spoil the FFX cast here (other than maybe a "wtf, aren't you dead?" to Seymour- already talked to the mun.)

I played him here before, and I'll be using the same journal ([livejournal.com profile] likesbigguns), but I'll be resetting him.

For the record, I totally ship him and Rikku. XD it'd be nice if someone would app her...

I admit I lifted a bit of this first-person sample from his old intro, and I'll be using it for his re-intro if I get back in.

Hey there, people! Looks like Shinra's spherenet thing is officially up and running. Now if only he'd explain what he was so excited about. Something about the knowledge of the worlds...

And worldwide, too! Gotta hand it to that kid: even I didn't think it would work. Craacr. E's zamuic uv y meddma get. Frana't ra kad rec pnyehc?

You should know me already, but the name's Gippal- remember it, 'cause I'm a very important man.

P.S. The Machine Faction will be interviewing people for the Bikanel dig again soon. If you're interested, come to Djose Temple.

((OOC: Translations- "Testing, testing. Is this thing working? Sweet." "Sheesh. I'm jealous of a

little kid. Where'd he get his brains?"))

Third Person: (This is set shortly before the events of FFX-2.)

Two years.

Had it seriously been two years already since the final exercise?

Today was the second anniversary of the ill-fated Operation Mi'ihen. Gippal had given the Faction members at Djose permission to go pay their respects if they wanted; most of them had taken him up on the offer. It seemed everyone knew someone who'd been killed in that fiasco. He'd thought about going with them; but going through Mushroom Rock Road would probably mean running into Nooj.

He didn't know if he wanted to deal with the Deathseeker. More likely, Nooj didn't want to deal with him. Even in all the Faction's dealings with the Youth League, Gippal had barely even seen him; it was like he was avoiding him. At any rate, it would all be so awkward, and that was something Gippal could do without.

He could have done without the reminder of two years ago, too, but there was no shortage of ways to distract himself from that, especially with so few people still at HQ to get in the way.

It would be nice if he and his teammates could be reunited sometime. Even Nooj- if only so they could find out why he betrayed them. It wasn't worth dwelling on, though. Time to get to work.

((Ugh, my writing style sucks. I hope I got the idea across, though... In the scene in the Bevelle Underground where the guys do finally meet up again, Gippal tries to stop Baralai and Nooj from arguing. It ends up with the three of them pointing guns at each other, but hey, he tried. XD so yeah, I figured if any of them would want them to be friends again, it'd be him.))

[identity profile] obloquy.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
Character: Remy LeBeau
Fandom: X-Men (comic verse)
Character Notes:
History: Remy was born in New Orleans, Louisiana where he was promptly taken from the hospital by a member of the Thieves Guild who was intrigued by his strange eyes (black with red pupils). Jean-Luc LeBeau, the head od the Guild, wouldn't have any of that and orchestrated events that led to Remy being cast out and raised on the streets. It was only until Remy met Jean-Luc on the streets and attempted to pick his pocket that Jean-Luc took him in. It was a good thing he did as Remy turned out to be a quick learner and was soon the "head of the class", so to speak.

Remy's mutant powers emerged sometime in his puberty, but he managed to keep them from his friends and family and practiced his new found powers alone. When he was 15 and accompanying Etienne Marceaux on his "Tilling", the initiation for the Thieves Guild, complications arose. They're target was none other than the powerful mutant Candra who recognized Remy from an encounter that took place in her past, but his future (Remy would undertake a time travel mission as an adult) and so she captured the boys and sold them to Pig. Pig, a mutant gangster and child slave trader, had every intention of selling the boys off to HYDRA as soldiers. Remy used his powers in front of Etienne to help them escape their holding pen, but Pig wasn't far behind them. It was then that Remy learned his signature attack by charging and throwing a playing card Etienne had dropped. In the end, he took out one of the already deformed Pig's eyes and they escaped by diving into the sea. Etienne drowned and Remy survived.

Upon his return, Remy agreed to marry Bella Donna in hopes to bring the Thieves and Assassin's Guild together once more. Luck wouldn't be on his side, however, as on his wedding day he was challenged to a duel by Bella Donna's brother, Julien. Remy won the duel, but took Julien's life in return and was exiled from New Orleans.

Remy (now going by Gambit) continued his thieving ways alone until he found he was completely unable to control the energy building up in his body. After killing a theater full of people, he turned to a mutant called Mister Sinister. Sinister helped Remy gain control of his powers, but demanded a favor in return. He agreed to assist Sinister and lead a group of mutants in their search to find another mutant group called the Morlocks. The pay was good and Remy failed to gauge Sinister's intentions until it was too late. The Marauders slaughtered the Morlocks once they were in the tunnels and Remy managed to save one little girl, Sarah (who would later grow up to be Marrow, the leader of a mutant terrorist group called the Gene Nation). Saving that little girl was the only thing that helped Remy manage the guilt he was feeling over the entire incident.

Once more wandering the world alone, Remy came upon a de-aged and vulnerable Storm and helped her out of some trouble. Storm, now involved in a life of thieving in order to survive, joined Remy and eventually led him to the X-Men in an attempt to return the favor once she reverted back to her natural age. Upon his arrival and with his help on numerous missions, the only X-Men that seemed to be suspicious of him was Wolverine. Besides, Remy had his eyes set on a certain girl with skin that could kill.

[identity profile] awaken-vegnagun.livejournal.com 2009-05-12 04:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Character Notes:
History: Past: Shuyin was an ace Blitzball player for Zanarkand more than a thousand years ago, during the Bevelle and Zanarkand War. He was in love with the songstress Lenne, who was well known throughout Zanarkand, and could summon Aeons.

During the war, the two were both called into duty to fight against Bevelle. Lenne as a summoner, and Shuyin as a soldier. Many battles were fought, and his views on the world began deteriorating. After many losses and damages taken, Lenne was captured and held within the Bevelle prisons. His mind on the brink of insanity, Shuyin believed the only way to save her was to awaken a machina by the name of Vegnagun. The machina was used as a weapon, however- it had no way of distincting between friend or foe, and was therefore locked deep within the chambers below Bevelle, never being used for fear of it being highly dangerous.

Shuyin was somehow able to bypass the heavily guarded area and stand before Vegnagun, taking in the great machina with awe and wonder. However, he was captured right after, and placed within a prison cage by Bevelle soldiers. He managed to break free of this cage and come upon Vegnagun once again. By this time, he had noticed an organ-instrument at the top of Vegnagun’s head, and climbed up to there and began playing. Vegnagun began to roar with life, the music stirring the great machina and awakening it. As he continued, the cannon that would destroy all of Spira came out of its mouth, threatening to destroy everything at once. Only when Lenne came running forward on the docks and told Shuyin to stop, did he halt the process and shut down the machina.

The two were reunited in front of the now shutting down Vegnagun, but the reunion was cut short as Bevelle soldiers came running towards them, guns drawn, shinging lights on both. They looked into each others eyes, held each other, and knew they were going to die. They were fired upon in unison by the Bevelle soldiers, and the two fell to the floor. Lenne let a tear trickle down her face before they both died, and it has come to be something Shuyin has never forgotten, even now.

Current Characters: Princess Peach a.k.a [livejournal.com profile] prettyasa_pichi

Character: Pyocola Analogue III , nicknamed Piyoko
Fandom: Di Gi Charat
Character Notes:
History:Planet Analouge...Sounds fancy, right? Well, it's poor as dirt. They can't even afford dirt. The entire planet can't afford much, and due to this, things such as kidnapping, ransoms, and rake overs are seen as respectable, even honorable, things to do. That includes the King and Queen of this planet. They decided to take over the nearby planet, Di Gi Charat! Then they'd be eternally rich!

Except they failed. Big time. And because of the effort of taking over that planet, Analouge got even POORER. Ashamed of their failure, the King and Queen left their only daughter to three loyal citizens (Rik, Kyo, Coo), thinking she'd be under their care better. Little did they realize the lessons their princess had learned. Piyoko wouldn't take this lying down! She would make this planet rich! Fortunately she was...'blessed'...from birth with a unique ability. She could spew explosions from her mouth, calling them 'Upchuck Bazookas'. Fortunately it's less gross than it sounds.

So Piyoko and her gang formed the Black Gema Gema gang, and she practiced her Upbuck Bazooka every single day, determined to get better at it.

Then she blew up a building with it. Whoops. She and the three were fined for it, making them even POORER. Unable to pay for the repairs, the three fled to planet Earth. During the travel there, they discovered that the princess of Di Gi Charat had also decided to go to Earth, to become a famous idol. Piyoko came up with a brilliant idea - kidnap the princess Dejiko, and hold her for ransom! Imagine all the money that would pour in! So once they landed on Earth, and turned their spaceship into a home, they began making all sorts of various evil plans, while at the same time adjusting to this odd new planet and, of course, their POORNESS.

Unfortunately, Piyoko isn't a terribly bright girl. Dejiko easily managed to trick her every single time they met, and none of Piyoko's plans ever worked. Even stranger, Piyoko came to admire Dejiko, going so far as to call her a big sister. Granted, she's still going to try and kidnap her, but she feels she has a lot to learn from Dejiko. These are just the crazy every day antics of the Black Gema Gema gang!

Personality: Piyoko thinks she's evil. She calls her plans evil, her gang evil, herself evil, and wants to be the baddest bad guy who ever did bad things. Too bad her idea of 'evil' can lead to the silliest things, such as wearing a 'glasses only' disguise to work in Dejiko's store, stealing Dejiko's clothes, and using a magic spell just to change one aspect of a person's appearance. But she's wonderfully optimistic, always thinking the next plan will work. She really believes that evil is an okay thing to be, since she's trying to help out her home planet. She's also incredibly gullible, as she is new to Earth and doesn't understand all of its customs. (Such examples, thanks to Dejiko, are thinking the police will hang you for scuffing up a store floor, underwater wrestling, humans can be used as fireworks...)

Piyoko is a nice girl, though. She'll help stray animals, and will share her food with anyone around. She loves Rik, Ky, and Coo as if they were brothers, and they show an unwavering loyalty to her. However, she does miss her parents a lot, and longs for a 'real family'. (Which leads to hilarious moments when Rik and Ky try to be Daddy and Mommy.) Since she is eight years old, she is still very much a child, and will act as so. She'll refuse to brush her teeth, she'll hold temper tantrums, and yet demands to be treated like a grown up. An evil grown up!

Other: She has an 'accent', so that whenever she speaks, her sentences end in 'pyo'. (Naturally I'll only use this for voice posts/'real life' meetings and such.) She also has a floating black ' Nazo Gema', which just says 'geba', and looks sort of womanly. It's more of a pet than anything.

First Person (entry type): Attention, all citizens of Drama Drama Duck! You are now the property of the Black Gema Gema gang! We are taking over this internet community, and holding it for ransom! Until we get our money, you will be our slaves, and work for us, and do anything we say!

The first order is…telling us where all the cute ducks are. I keep looking, but I don’t see any! That’s false advertising…and that’s just mean! I was trying to look up some really cheap recipes…oh, we’re going to go hungry tonight. Maybe that one bakery threw out its old crusts again. Mmmm, old crusts…

Third Person:Now this plan was sheer perfection! There was absolutely no way this could wrong. The princess chuckled darkly, watching from around a corner. She’d show those boys, she was all grown up, she didn’t need to be babysat anymore.

She heard the automatic doors open, and held back a breath. She kept her eyes focused on her brilliant trap. A cardboard box, kept up by a stick, and the stick had a long piece of string tied to it. The bait was Dejiko’s favorite food..broccoli. Once Dejiko made a grab for the vegetable, Piyoko would pull the strong, trapping the princess.

“And then we’ll hold her for ransom, and make millions, pyo!” Piyoko explained out loud, once again forgetting that inner dialogue was supposed to be…inner. She gave a few more wicked squeals, when she suddenly noticed movement under the box. She gasped, and pulled the string. At last, at last!

Once the box fell, she ran over, slapping her hands on the box. “I’ve got you now, Dejiko-onee, pyo!” She giggled. “You belong to the Black Gema Gema gang now, pyo! Do you have any last words, pyo?”

With that, she lifted the box upward…to see a very angry pigeon.

“…You’re not Dejiko, pyo.”

A pigeon with very sharp talons…

Character: Axl
Fandom: Megaman X
Character Notes:
History: Axl is a young Reploid that was taken in by the Red Alert Syndicate, a group of mercenaries. He couldn't remember anything before joining Red Alert, not even where he attained his unique ability to copy the appearances and abilities of other Reploids (and possibly other creatures, as well, although this is never stated clearly.)

However, after some time spent in Red Alert, Axl became tired of all the "murdering" and the other less-than savory activities the group became involved in, and he walked away, creating a battle to try and retrieve him in the process; Red Alert sent a large mechaniloid scorpion after him, destroying and causing havok in a certain area until the Maverick Hunters caught word and Zero was deployed to investigate.

There he apprehended Axl and brought him in; although Axl repeatedly said that all he wanted was to be a Maverick Hunter and to help them, X was wary of him due to his violent methods and past alliance with Red Alert. He refused to allow him to become a Hunter, but, regardless, Axl went off with Zero afterwards to investigate other disturbances.

Soon after, Red, the leader of Red Alert, contacted the Maverick Hunters and, despite their disagreement with the concept, released some Mavericks that he had prisoner and proclaimed that whoever defeated them first, Red Alert or the Maverick Hunters, would be allowed to keep Axl. Despite the fact that X and Zero wanted nothing to do with Axl, Zero still went into action and Axl followed him into the fray, hoping to make up for the wrongs he'd done and gain favor with X and Zero, as well.

It soon becomes evident that Axl had been used by Red-- Axl alone was the only member with the ability to collect DNA data from the Mavericks and other Repoids, which he'd been using to make himself and the others more powerful. At the same time, they'd also become far more unruly.

The Hunters and Axl go to Red Alert's base after defeating the Mavericks to finish things, but, after a battle with Red himself, the real user was revealed to be none other than Sigma. Red himself had been duped into helping Sigma, as had the entire team. Axl, Zero, and X fought together and defeated Sigma, and Axl was allowed to remain with the Hunters, although X still refused to allow him to become a true member.

Personality: Axl is a spunky little guy. He's the youngest of the three protagonists, and, thus, a lot more playful and happy than they often seem; although that fact also makes him something of an annoyance to the more mature Hunters. He's a good boy, although a bit of a delinquent due to his time spent in Red Alert working as a mercenary. However, he left for his own reasons; he didn't like what the group was doing and the way things had begun to change, and was looking to instead become a Maverick Hunter, generally the "good" guys of the story. It's clear that he does have a good heart, although it's also obvious that some attitudes and behaviors will need to be trained out of him.

He looks up to X and Zero, despite how X in particular tends to treat him-- like both a child and a criminal at once. Zero in particular, however, is his hero, as he once said himself, and he's always excited to team up with him. He says he believes that he and Zero "make a great team."

[identity profile] copycat-fanboy.livejournal.com 2009-05-14 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
Other: Axl was, in Megaman X7, introduced as the first and only Reploid capable of his shape-shifting abilities. He's also unique in that his long-range and primary weapons, his twin pistols, aren't built into his body.

Mion Sonozaki 2/3

[identity profile] riderofpegasus.livejournal.com 2009-05-15 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
Character Notes:
History: Mion is the oldest of the Sonozaki twins, as well as being the next head of the family and one of the main protagonists. At birth, she had the tattoo of a demon engraved into her back, and the ‘Mi’ in her name actually stands for ‘demon’. Even though she is shown as evil in the second arc, that is actually her sister’s doing. In reality, Mion is pretty much the only main character who never attempts to kill anyone in any of the anime arcs. Ever since she was a kid, Mion has been brought up to be the next great head of the village. Still, she makes friends easily, and even established a little after school club that consisted of herself, Rika Furude, Rena Ryuugu, and Satoko Hojou. She was also friends with Satoshi when he was there, and quickly befriended Keiichi Maebara once he moved into town. She and the others accepted him into their club, and Mion even formed somewhat of a crush on him.
In the first anime arc, Mion is shown to have a secretive, deadly side, growing serious whenever Oyashiro-sama and Satoshi are brought up. However, this is all just part of Keiichi’s paranoia, and is actually quite concerned about him and wants for him to get better until she’s beaten to death with a baseball bat in the last episode. In the second arc, Mion is once again seen to have a darker, demonic side, but this is all Shion. In realistic, Mion locked up in a cell, and can only beg for her friends’ lives as they are murdered one by one. Even at the end, she tries to convince Shion that the Sonozaki family wasn’t behind the disappearances and murders, and that Shion had to have faith in her. Unfortunately, she was once again killed by falling to her death into a pit.
In almost every other scenario, Mion is killed by the gas released by Takano in her men. However, in the second to last arc in Higurashi Kai, she tries with her friends to change fate and help Rika escape being murdered. She then sees that Keiichi is killed as they try to escape, and stays behind in hopes that the others can escape as well.

Personality: Mion possesses a personality much like her sister in that she acts carefree and with a mischievous side, but unlike Shion, Mion doesn’t kill anyone. She has strong leadership skills, both for the village along with her group of friends. Even though she can be absolutely ruthless when taking up her role as the next Sonozaki heir, Mion really has a kind heart, even befriending the children of Hinamizawa’s traitors. She also has a strong relationship with her sister, not punishing her for her actions unless she absolutely has to. Even when she forces Shion to tear off her own fingernails, Mion goes and does the same thing to herself, claiming that it’s not fair that Shion has to be the only one to go through so much suffering. There can also be times when she and her sister are rivals, such as when Shion looks like she’s competing for Keiichi’s affections as well. However, she doesn’t share this type of rivalry with Rena, even though Rena also has a crush on the boy. When need be, Mion can be harsh with her own friends, slapping Rena when it appears that the girl is starting to lose herself and then becoming cheerful when Rena snaps out of it.
Other: Mion taken just from the anime arcs, and will occasionally hand her identity over to Shion just to screw with people.

Character: Firo Prochainezo
Fandom: Baccano!
Character Notes: Let’s start with the basic, Firo is freaking immortal and only someone who has come into contact with the great Panacea can actually ‘kill’ him. The only to kill this immortal after drinking the Panacea is to use there right hand to ‘devour’ them. Firo can also give out knowledge through his right hand to anyone he wants to receive it. Firo is the youngest member of the Martillo family.

Firo Prochainzeo 2/2

[identity profile] therealher0.livejournal.com 2009-05-15 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
History: Firo was an Orphan at age 9 and lived in the streets of New York. He made his way by learning how to fight with knives and blades to ward off anyone looking for trouble. Meeting a young Vino the two became fast friends. Later Firo is found by the Martillo family and after 10 years of being a simple thug Firo is ready to become a boss of his own little section within the family. Firo throughout the series runs into many characters during the different time periods the show crosses over. Firo is shown mainly to interact with Luck Gandor, Maiza Avaro, Ennis and Isaac and Miria. In 2002 He gets married to the love of his life Ennis and they live for the rest of life itself. Firo also becomes leader of the Camorra at the end of the series.
Personality: Firo is occasional and a rapid boy that fights his battles with intelligence and honor. In his private life he’s a good and loyal friend, a man willing to sacrifice himself for the safety of his allies. Firo isn’t your classic loves to fight kinda guy, no sir, he’s a funny and gentle man to his friends and lover.
Other: Firo is also well skilled in hand to hand combat as shown when he owns Dallas Geonard and his thugs after they were beating on an old man. Since there is the coverage of three different periods of time, in the weird way in the anime, there will be bouncing around in the journal mostly between 1930, 31, 32.

First Person (entry type): Ducks huh? That’s cool I guess. Oh forgive me, where are my manners. My name is Firo, Firo Prochainezo. I’d tell ya what I do, but then my bosses would come and kill me. I might’ve said too much already who knows. Oh! Anyone here of a transcontinental train called the Flying Pussyfoot? I was supposed to see it today when me, Maiza, Ennis, and the Gandor family went to pick up some of our friends. Problem was the train had apparently crashed. All the passengers were changed to another car. Luck said he heard the train was gaudy made me want to see it more. Sometimes it’s not cool when things don’t go they way they were planned. Destiny is a cruel lady sometimes, but she gave me Ennis and a new family, and for that I’m happy.

Third Person: “So the old man didn’t see her.” Firo spoke to himself quietly continuing down the alleyway. He looked around as he jogged onward. “How did I lose her? I mean she was a about thirty seconds ahead of me. Wouldn’t she have found that old man first?” Firo stopped for a second and thought. His mind the woman he just bumped into outside of a burning building not even fifteen minutes ago.

His eyes looked to the cufflink in his hand. He knew it came off of her suit, so he wanted to return it. Ever get one of those feelings where Destiny didn’t want you to do something just yet. Yeah this was one of those times for Firo.

“Firo? Firo! Where gonna be late!” Maiza voice shot from around the corner. Firo looked back and smiled. He had almost forgotten that his promotion ceremony was soon.

“Sorry about that Maiza.” His tone was still the same lovable Firo. A smirk now formed on his face as he adjusted his hat and pocketed the cufflink.

Shion Sonozaki 2/3

[identity profile] riderofpegasus.livejournal.com 2009-05-16 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
Character Notes:

History: Shion is the younger of the Sonozaki twins, and was condemned to die at birth before her first bath. However, she was not killed, but instead looked down upon for the majority of her upbringing by the rest of the family. The only ones who were kind to her were Shion’s older sister, Mion, her uncle, and her caretaker Kasai. A few years before the beginning of the series, she was sent away to an all girls academy, where she stayed there for almost two years before escaping. She went to Okinomiya to live in an apartment with Kasai, and with the help of her uncle and Mion, was able to secure a part-time job at her uncle’s shop. However, her grandmother (the head of the Sonozaki family) soon found out that she had escaped boarding school and was currently looking for her. Shion then decided to stay low, but before that she went shopping. That was the fated day she was saved by Satoshi Hojou, the boy she quickly fell in love with. Even though he thought she was mion, Satoshi was kind to her, and Shion wanted to learn more about him.

Unfortunately, Satoshi was having trouble at home with his abusive aunt and uncle, as well as needing to take care of his younger sister Satoko. Shion began to grow bitter towards Satoko for being too much of a burden on Satoshi, and one day switched places with Mion in order to go to school. After seeing Satoko crying for her ‘nii-nii’, Shion snapped and began beating the shit out of the girl. However, she was stopped by the others. After that, she wished that Satoko and her aunt would be murdered as part of Oyashiro’s curse. She ended up revealing herself as Shion to Satoshi, and managed to get back on good terms with him. However, on the night of the Watanagashi festival, Satoshi disappeared, leaving Shion devastated. Before that, Shion was found out by her family for helping out Satoshi. Shion was then punished for her actions, which included falling in love with a Hojo. In order to spare the others who had helped her from being punished as well, Shion was forced to rip three of her own fingernails off.

In Watanagashi-hen and Meakashi-hen, Shion is the murderous one. She had gotten over Satoshi, but was reminded of him after coming across Keiichi Maebara in a similar fashion. She quickly starts going into a downward spiral of insanity as she looks up more information about Oyashiro’s curse, and comes to believe that it’s the Sonozaki family that was behind all the disappearances and murders. Most of the main characters are kidnapped and tortured, sometimes for information and sometimes just for the hell of it. Mion is locked up in a secret chamber, and Shion ends up taking her place most of the time. The village head is tortured and killed, Shion ends up killing her grandmother with a taser, drugs Rika and watches as the girl kills herself, tortures and murders Satoko, and almost tortures Keiichi. At the end, Shion kills Mion and briefly goes back to being herself, only to stab Keiichi as Mion and then die by falling off of her apartment’s balcony. Before she dies, she realizes what she has done, and promises Satoshi that things will be better the next time.

Character: Suika Ibuki
Fandom: Touhou Project
Character Notes:
History: Suika's an oni, a sort of Japanese ogre, often associated with hell. Suika though appears as a little girl with horns. Like many oni, she is often drunk. In fact, she is never found without her purple gourd is a prized treasure of the oni, capable of producing an infinite amount of alcohol.

Suika's early history is little known, although it is known that she was one of the “Four Devas of the Mountain” a set of four legendary oni, thus even among the oni she's one of the most powerful. She also participated in the mass migration of oni from the human world; previously if an oni found a human they liked, they would play a game with a human. If the human won, the oni would go free. If the human lost, the oni would abduct them (possibly a la Rena of Higurashi). Most oni are incredibly honest, however, and humans would use that to trick them, thus winning the games and often killing the oni in the process. Even in Gensokyo, most of the oni live underground.

Suika though left the oni. Part of the reason was because she wanted to improve human and oni relations, but also partially because she just wanted to have a good time! So after the incident in Gensokyo where winter lasted an abnormally long time, Suika decided to use her abilities to create a series of neverending feasts.

The usual suspects in Gensokyo stopped her, and she decided to take residence in the Hakurei shrine, much to Reimu's annoyance. At some point the shrine was broken by an earthquake. Suika then claimed a territory in the celestial realm as her own. Since the shrine was eventually repaired, Suika goes back between the two places. Much to Reimu's further annoyance.
Personality: Suika is a really nice and jolly being who just wants to have fun and a good time. She is proud of being an oni and will let other people know of it. Suika hates liars and tricksters and will probably yell at them; this hasn't stopped Suika from being mischievous herself, however. Despite this, it still takes a lot to get Suika to outright dislike someone. As an oni, being jolly is her nature. She also greatly respects strength, particularly people who could beat her in a fair competition, and it doesn't need to be a physical competition either. However, Suika is not dismissive of those weaker than her, since she knows most beings have no chance of overpowering an oni.

Suika Ibuki [2/2]

[identity profile] borderhax.livejournal.com 2009-05-16 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
Other: Yukari Yakumo is an old friend of Suika's. They know each other quite well, although Suika still a bit miffed that she interfered in her endless series of feasts.

Suika is one of the most strongest beings in Gensokyo. She once broke the heavens just to make it look like she broke the moon. Just because she was getting annoyed at those people saying the traditional phrase of “Oni out, luck in”. Her power involves manipulation and gathering of density. This can be physical things as increasing her size or turning into mist (she can even make tiny minature clones of herself), to forces, such as making a black hole by gathering gravity, to concepts, such as the density of people at a feast, or the number of feasts in a short time. This may allow her to world hop other people, and possibly herself.

Suika is perpetually drunk. Canon states that she has been drinking for hundreds of years, nonstop. It may be possible that her powers explain why she can often be very lucid (dispersing the density of her own drunkeness).

Apparently, someone else played Suika here. It's unlikely that she will know about that period unless someone convinces me otherwise.

First Person (entry type):
Ah! I spilled sake on this!

Reimu, don't get mad at me! Reimu? REIMOOOO!

...She's not here.

What does this thing say? dramadramaduck? What's a duck? It it a kind of beer?

There's definitely some kind of gathering on this place. Is it some sort of festival device? Is Reimu having a party...and not inviting me!

That's mean! She insults all oni with that! I'm going to disperse her party to nothingness!

Wait...I can't seem to change anything!

Maybe I'm sobering up.

That's bad!

Well, if anyone here sees Reimu, tell her I'm sorry for spilling sake on her...whatever this is. And then yell at her for not inviting me to the party. I'll be here drinking.

Third Person: warm

Rice sake was best drunk warm.

Some of course, would disagree, saying that heat removes some of its flavor. Heat was better for low quality sake, or during the cold season.

Of course, those disagreers were also human. Suika most certainly wasn't.

Oni of course, did not have the same sense and sensations that humans did. A cold or hot day for a human might be perfectly normal to an oni. And any loss in flavor would also be mitigated by the simple pleasure of a swallowing a warm liquid, and feeling it spread through your body.

Plus, Suika never lost any of the flavor. It was part of the reason why her manipulation of density was so well regarded by the oni She could simply gather the density of it as she was drinking. Or even disperse it. The only reason she drank other alcoholic beverages was because it might have a combination of flavors she hadn't tried yet. But everything she drank was always....just right.

Suika gave a contented sigh as she put her cup down. “That's good sake”.

Character: Starfire
Fandom: Teen Titans Animated Series
Character Notes:

History:

Before coming to earth, Starfire was the crown princess of the planet of Tamaran, a species of orange skinned and green eyed aliens capable of flight, and enormous feats of strength. As the daughter of the royal family, Starfire is also gifted with the ability to launch beams of solar energy from her hands.

She and her sister Blackfire were raised to eventually take over the leadership of the planet from their parents. However, after an invasion by another race of aliens, Starfire’s father was forced to give Starfire to the invaders to keep them from destroying Tamaran. She was taken away from the planet as a slave, although with her sister Blackfire, though the two were taken to different places. During the voyage she managed to escape from the pirates and fled to the closest inhabitable planet…which was earth, of course.

There she ended up battling against the young hero Robin, a battle which spread out to encompass a number of other young superheroes. Starfire managed to kiss Robin, allowing her to absorb English into her mind, and the group figured out that they were not, in fact, enemies.

They joined forces and together managed to find off the aliens who had followed Starfire to earth. Afterwards, Starfire decided that she would remain on earth. Together with the other heroes who had come to her aid, they formed the Teen Titans.

[identity profile] eyesofgreenfire.livejournal.com 2009-05-16 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
Personality:

Starfire’s race believes that their emotions are what fuel their strength and power, and so they are an exceptionally emotional people. Whether it is sadness, anger, happiness, or anything in between, they throw themselves into each emotion as if their life depended on it. And Starfire is no exception.

When she is happy, she is ecstatic. When she is sad, she is heartbroken. When she is angry, she is furious. She does nothing by halves, she probably wouldn’t even know how to temper her emotions. She cannot comprehend how her teammate Raven manages to use meditation to ‘control herself.’ In fact, if she tried, she’d lose the things that make her powers so strong.

Starfire is a stranger on earth, and she has been slowly trying to learn about her adopted world, but many things are still strange and confusing to her. She comes off as stupid at times, but she is actually quite intelligent…she simply doesn’t know how things work here. Her English is often broken, using the wrong word as a noun or adding words where they don’t need to be. Her language is littered with random words from her own language as well.

Other: I’m taking Starfire from early in the first season of the show, so she can go through the series over time. She’s more fun when she doesn’t know too much about earth.

It took me hours and hours and I feared I was messing up several times but it is finished! It looks simply wonderful!

But when I told the others, they all had to be elsewhere! Beastboy is doing the charity and Robin said he had to go on patrol and Raven…I do not know where Raven went she did the thing she does when she disappears into the wall.

So! Who is to be coming and trying my cake? It will be Delicious!

2/?

[identity profile] carnality.livejournal.com 2009-05-16 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Character Notes:
History: Cooler than Twilights .

Lestat was born in France whereupon he killed wolves and was generally rambunctious and rebellious and flopped around in bed SCANDALIZED by how HORRIBLE his fathers and brothers were to him. So, he goes to paris, falls in love with a boy named Nicholas, gets harassed (read: changed) by some clammy old man named Mangus who then burns himself to death and leaves all his earthly posessions to the now vampire Tattums.

Lestat is pissed. It's a shitty castle full of useless crap. So, he goes to get his ailing mother, changes her-- she then turns around, cuts off her hair, puts on boy clothes and runs away, ABADONING HIM, DO YOU HEAR ME GABRIELLE?

So, he finds Nikki and is like sup dude I still like your ween wassaaap and Nicholas, in a frenzy of violin playing, is like okay I guess you can change me or something so he does but then Nikki kind of goes crazy but it's okay because he plays music and is pretty to look at; Lestat pretty much uses him as a door stop or a paper weight, you know, sort of useful things.

He then unearths this coven where all these satan worshiping vampires are going around kidnapping little boys and killing them and what have you and lestat is like I DONT KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON IN HERE BUT IT SMELLS BAD AND I DONT LIKE IT so he set it on fire; Armand is in there and manages to get out and they have a few fisticuffs before he gives Armand the Theatre des Vampires. It's essentially a theater where vampires pretend to be humans pretending to be vampires.

Oh yeah, he was in an acting troupe for a while and fell in love with everyone ever and never shuts up about how much that AFFECTED HIS GREASY LITTLE SOUL.

Moving on; 'Stat trolls his way to America and goes to Louisiana. There he comes upon a suicidal socialite whom he promptly kidnaps, seduces, and changes into a vampire. Louis hasn't stopped whining since.

Cue a good few decades passing, Louis is still crying over his lost mortality and refusing to drink from anything but rats (Lestat is disappoint) so he finds him one night, after a fit of lunacy, DRINKING FROM A GD CHILD and Louis realizes what he's done, runs away; lestat is like HMMMMMM. So he kidnaps the kid and changes her and is like THIS IS OUR CHILD, YOU KILLED HER, I BROUGHT HER BACK TO LIFE, YOU LOVE ME RIGHT, THIS IS GOOD?

Louis is disappoint. But he loves Claudia and they are a family. Claudia, however, realizes when she's like 60 and still hasn't grown tits that this shit sucks and uses her skank powers to turn Louis against Lestat whereupon they BURN DOWN HIS BEAUTIFUL ABODE (no more candles, Louis), slit his throat, throw him in a swamp and go back to Paris.

Lestat is pissed. :| He floats around and gets chewed on and then wrastles some crocodiles and manages to drink their blood for enough days to super saiyajin his way out of the swamp. He calls his brosef in Paris and is like ARMAND HALP and Armand is like :> only if you don't hurt me for cutting off Nikki's hands. Lestat SCREAMS FOREVER but is like okay because Claudia is a whore.

So, Louis and Claudia go to paris, yeah, and they end up going to the Theatre des Vampires where Armand seduces the fuck out of Louis (hussies) and kills Claudia (hi-five!) and her new hussy mother andddd then Louis and Armand bugger off together for a while.

Character: Jenny Humphrey
Fandom: Gossip Girl (tv show, not the books)
Character Notes:
History: Jenny grew up a normal life for a girl, she had both parents and an older brother, lived in a good home and went to a normal school and was sheltered from the bad things in the world around her. But when she was fourteen, her mother left their father and her life began to rapidly change. Because her mother was hard at work becoming an artist, Jenny and her older brother Dan went to live with their father at a new loft in Brooklyn. With the change in home came a change in school, because Rufus (Jenny's father) wanted his children to go to the best school possible. So both Jenny and Dan were dressed up in uniforms and sent to the upper east side, where Jenny began attending Constance Billard school for girls. This was really her first exposure to a lifestyle that was so diferent from her own, so unlike anything she had ever experienced before. Instead of people who dressed like her and liked the same things she did, she met girls who went to have cocktails at hotel bars and dressed in clothes that cost more than the loft she lived in. She was exposed to an entirely new social status and a brand new world of opportunities, and Jenny was very tempted by that. Her entire goal for the first season of the show was to fit in and become popular. She did things that were out of character for her, including lying to her parents, running away, sabotaging popular girls, watching people get picked on by the popular girls and saying nothing, and shoplifting a dress at Blair's command. Her every move is to try and become popular, and eventually, she does manage to de-throne Blair, and she takes over as the Queen Bee of Constance.

And she is entirely ecstatic with that change in her life, but along with the change in social status, she has a change in her personality. The quiet and meek Jenny Humphrey was gone, and in her place was a mini Blair Waldorf. It was at this point that Jenny began lying more, and plotting and sabotaging more, until the point where her brother and old friends siad they couldn't recognize who she had become. It was also during this point that Jenny realized how different her world is from the girls she had struggled and fought so hard to fit in with. She could barely afford any of their outings, and was always having to borrow money, with promises of being able to pay them back. She wasn't big on drinking, but still went out for cocktails with her new friends, and even plotted against Blair to knock her down a few more pegs. But one of her plots ended up backfiring on her, during her 15th birthday. There, a dress that Jenny stole was revealed to her friends by Blair, and Blair was put back at the head of the social circle and Jenny was de-throned.

Jenny Humphrey 2/?

[identity profile] muggles.livejournal.com 2009-05-16 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
After this point in her life, Blair and her friends made Jenny's life a living hell. They teased and taunted her, insulted her, and pretty much did everything in her power to make her either quit or be expelled from school. But Jenny stuck around through it all and earned a thicker skin because of it, and she's become a bit more jaded about the world due to all that she put herself through during her first school year at Constance. She's learned now that life isn't about money or who you're seen speaking to, and doesn't care about being popular, she just wants to find friends who are honest and good to her.

At the end of her freshman year, Jenny recieved an internship offer at the fashion company Blair Waldorf's mother operates, and she eagerly accepted the offer despite the connections to Blair. There, she worked hard all through the summer and into the school year, where she realized if she worked hard enough she could really have a big name in fashion. Her focus going into her sophomore year at Constance was her fashion career, and because of this, she started skipping school in order to finish projects and come up with new designs. When her father found out, he made her quit her job and grounded her, which led to Jenny sneaking out and eventually being kicked out by her father. During this time period, she designs her own fashion line, and after meeting a model named Agnes, they set out to have an underground fashion show during fashion week. The show was a huge hit, and Jenny got some popularity, but her father was furious with her and lost all trust in her. After some ups and downs (including quitting her fashion internship and finally being allowed to be home schooled, although she seems to be still be enrolled at Constance again on the show), Jenny has ended up back home and is currently trying to balance school and her fashion job, while working to get her family to trust her once again.

Personality: Jenny's one of those teenage girls that's always going out of her way to try and fit in. She tries too hard, which usually ends up making her look desperate and stupid, but she always realizes her mistakes that she makes and fesses up to them. Ever since starting school at Constance Billard, she's become a little more snippity and hardened then she was growing up, just because she's had to grow a tough skin in order to put up with being picked on by Blair and her crowd of it girls. She's a generally sweet natured girl, however, and usually always tries to do the right thing in a situation. She has been known to lie to her parents, and run off and do things her parents don't approve of, and she was caught shoplifting while trying to prove herself worthy of being in Blair's in-crowd; but Jenny always ends up doing the right thing in the end, and tries her best to make things right for people she might have wronged. She's usually the first to offer help when others need it, and she's always the first to offer an apology in a fight. She's not the best person to go to for advice, since she usually is the one needing it herself, but she always tries to play the role of supportive friend/sidekick, and is always around when a friend or family member needs a hug or support.

Up until the past couple of years, Jenny was a very naive and sheltered girl who was soft spoken and unsure of herself, but over the past year she's really evolved as a person. She now freely speaks her mind to anyone (before, she only really did to her parents and brother), and she will speak up and stand up for others (where before, she just watched others getting picked on in order to fit in with the popular girls). While she used to be obsessed with fitting in and becoming popular, her focus is now more or less on finding out what's in style at the moment and making her own clothes, and becoming an independent person. She's really big on earning freedom from her sheltered upbringing, and a lot of times tries to act and do things that are more grown up than a 15/16 year old girl should.

Character: Superboy/Kon-El/Conner Kent
Fandom: Superman/DC Comics
Character Notes:
History: Way back when Doomsday killed Superman, Cadmus Labs cloned a replacement. However, pure Kryptonian DNA didn't work, so they stabilized it with human DNA taken from Lex Luthor. Before the clone could reach full growth, he escaped. Superman came back to life, and the clone became Superboy. Eventually, Superman also gave him the name Kon-El. Kon lived in Hawaii for a few years and joined up with fellow young heroes Robin, Wonder Girl, Impulse, Secret, and Arrowette in the team Young Justice. He left Hawaii and worked for Cadmus Labs (now under less evil managers). Then he moved to Smallville to live with Superman's parents as Conner Kent. Young Justice dissolved and reformed as the Teen Titans. Luthor brainwashed Kon into attacking his teammates, but with the help of Wonder Girl, he broke out of it. Then an insane Clark Kent from a destroyed dimension showed up claiming to be the REAL Superboy and killed Kon. A thousand years later, Brainiac V and the Legion of Superheroes revived him just in time to battle Superboy Prime once more. Kon journeyed back to the 21st century, and that's where he is now.

Personality: Above all, Kon is a hero. He'd sacrifice his life in a heartbeat. Actually, he already has done that. But he's got a strong sense of right and wrong and the urge to constantly right the wrongs he sees. He sees things in black and white sometimes, and has a bit of trouble accepting moral ambiguity. He can be a little immature because as much as he's physically and mentally 18, he's only been alive for five years, and there are some things you simply can't replicate in the cloning tube. He likes romance and sex a lot, and although he prefers ladies, he isn't averse to fooling around with men. He's got some self esteem issues stemming from having a genius for one best friend and a second best friend who's read the entire San Francisco library and remembers all of it. Also, he's a clone of Superman and worries a lot about living up to Superman's expectation. Kon is also constantly worried about losing control of his powers or his mind and hurting his friends. Or not being fast or strong enough, or failing in general. He's much smarter and better than he gives himself credit for, though.

Other: Kon has many superpowers! First and foremost is the one he'll mention… again, and again, and again. Tactile telekinesis. He has an aura he can manipulate to either lift things up, manipulate objects touching the same ground he's touching, or extend his aura to make someone else temporarily bullet proof. He can also take things apart by jamming his aura between the parts or hold things together with it. He likes talking about it! Also, he's got super strength, flight, invulnerability, x-ray vision, super speed, telescopic vision, heat vision, and superhearing.

First Person (entry type): Hey, what's up? I have no idea what this site is, but I'm bored, and hey, internet's always good for some random entertainment, you know? Especially as I'm stuck in the Fortress until they're sure I'm totally healed from coming back to life and stuff. I haven't even been able to call my friends and tell them I'm alive! So uncool.

So anyway, hi, I'm Superboy. Yes, the same Superboy who sacrificed his life to save the multiverse. Turns out I stay dead about as well as Superman does! Cool, isn't it? Just took me a while to come back.

So now that I'm back to life… no idea. I'll be able to get out of here soon and I'm gonna find my friends and the people I love first thing, of course. I'm still gonna be a hero. Probably rejoin the Titans. See if my girlfriend still wants me. All fun stuff, you know? Just gonna see how it goes.

Third Person: Kon opens his eyes. All he can see was white crystals. Did he fallen asleep in the Fortress or something? He's really stiff. Like he hasn’t moved in a week. He can hear explosions and screams outside, and why is he encased in crystal? This is weird.

He stretches and the crystals crack open. Dawnstar and Wildfire are giving him an estatic look. There are three Brainiacs and other Legion members lying on the floor passed out.

What's going on?

And then he remembers. Superboy Prime. The Crisis. Saving the world. Pain. Death.

"Wh – what happened?"

Dawnstar hands him jeans and a t-shirt. His costume.

"No time to explain!" Wildfire says. "It worked, you have to go fight Superboy prime!"

"Am I in the future?" Kon starts pulling on his shirt and ignores the look Dawnstar gives him. Of course they're in the future. Probably. Legion. "How long have I been out of it?"

"A thousand years," Dawnstar hands him shoes as he pulls on his pants. "Go on. They need you out there."

Kon nods and gets up, stopping for a second to check his hair in a reflective surface, then he flies out. Time to save the day again!

Current Characters: Joker, Blair, Emoticon, Bowser, Joel and HAL-9000

Character: Aquaman
Fandom: ...Aquaman. DC Comics, JLA, whatever.
Character Notes:
History:
Aquaman is one of the founding members of the JLA's original incarnation, and has been one of the MOST AWESOME SUPERHEROES EVER. Born to Atlantian parents who abandoned him on a reef because of his blond hair, "Orin" was taken in by a lighthouse operator named Arthur Curry, who named the child in his name. When his adoptive father disappeared from his life one day in his teens, he set out on his own to take in the sights of the world - somewhere along the way he banged an Inuput woman, but generally he stayed out of the way of other people until he stumbled upon Atlantis. After a major scuffle there, he decided to play superhero and became Aquaman - of course, the Flash had just a little influence over this idea.

When he eventually returned to Atlantis, the citizens there welcomed him with open arms. Oh yeah, that major scuffle was him fighting for his life under a totalitarian dictatorship. When did Batman do that? Anyway, he took on the mantle of King of Atlantis after it was revealed that his mother was a previous Queen - he used his time ruling to introduce policies that would reintegrate Atlantis with the surface world until he was ousted by Shark. After that, he decided to do the Aquaman thing, not the king thing. Oh yeah, and he married a queen from an alternate dimension named Mera, who he had a son with.

Unfortunately, Black Manta (one of Aquaman's big bads) kidnapped Aquaman's son and ended up suffocating him as Aquaman fought to free him. Mera, insane from grief, was committed. After beating back an outside force from Atlantis, Arthur decided to resign from the JLA, becoming king once more - the longer this lasted, however, the more involved in his work he became. Eventually, the chaos of his life caused him to turn into a hermit, bailing on Atlantis and the JLA. It's around this time period that he rips off Thor's hair and beard and loses his hand to a team of piranhas.

Skipping ahead a bit, Aquaman was eventually returned to the throne and then ousted by a group of sorcerers who wanted revenge on the surfacedwellers for polluting the ocean and the world in general. The sorcerers used magic to turn every living creature in the ocean against Aquaman, leaving him to die on Traitor's Reef. Delirious from pain and suffering from being unable to return to the ocean, Aquaman stumbled upon the Lady of the Lake, who healed his wounds and replaced his harpoon hand with a hand made out of the waters of the Secret Sea. This hand allows him to use the Sea's healing powers to heal people and eradicate black magic; however, when used in violence, there's a problem. Basically, using the hand in violence releases the Thirst, who tried to drain the four river goddesses so that he could drink from the Secret Sea at his leisure. It was only after Aquaman confronted the fact that balance was the key to becoming the true Waterbearer for the Lady of the Lake that he managed to overcome the Thirst -

And that's where I'm taking him from.

Personality: Arthur is known to have a "chip on his shoulder" according the the JLA members. He's hardheaded and tries to do everything himself, whether or not he actually can. He's also quick to anger if the right buttons are pushed, but he's learning to overcome his hotheadedness in order not to resort to using his healing hand for ill. He's also not entirely comfortable on land, but he's friendly enough towards surfacedwellers.

First Person (entry type): (100)
There's nothing quite like the ocean - I feel like it's been decades since I've gotten to swim in it, instead of a few short weeks. Living on the surface is much harder than I remember it being; I suppose after so long...

Ah, right. I'm contacting this community from a JLA base; I'll be honest, I was looking for news on Atlantis-related goings on, but the computer doesn't seem to want me to. It keeps redirecting me to this site, so I assumed I'd have to join and ask what, exactly, is going on. If this is the Flash's attempt at some kind of joke...

So, ah - a little help, here?

Third Person: (150)
The folks up at Mizenhead didn't understand at first why Arthur was so pleased that the shower at the lighthouse used only seawater. It didn't matter to him; they'd find out eventually who he really was, but until then, it was fine to be just Arthur - Arthur, the strange blond man who took long seawater showers. It wasn't too odd, even; surfacedwellers took long showers all the time. He supposed it was just the fact that it was a saltwater shower that threw off the old man and his woman friend. Ah, well. They couldn't understand... even if they knew he could only live on land for so long without water, even if they knew who he really was - if they believed him about it - they would never fully understand what the ocean's water meant to him.

He leaned back against the wall of the shower and smiled. Even exiled from the ocean, hunted by every living creature beneath its tumultuous surface, nearly killed by the new Atlantian reign, he knew that the ocean would never abandon him.

Are you at least 15?: Y/N.
Current Characters: Ares, Loki, Clint Barton, Perry van Shrike, Connor MacManus, and Dashiel “Flint” Faireborn.

Character: Pavel Andreievich Chekov
Fandom: Star Trek (Movie XI)
Character Notes:
History: Alternate universes make my sadly vast knowledge useless, so…

Chekov is the navigator of the USS Enterprise. Pretty much nothing is revealed about Chekov’s past in the movie. What is known is that he’s a seventeen-year-old Russian math whiz. He was the youngest cadet to ever win the Starfleet Academy Marathon, and is considered an expert in theoretical physics. The official website also states that he was the top of his class in “Stellar Cartography” and “Transporter Theory.” Throughout the movie, we’re given moments that reaffirm these claims. Such as the rescue of Kirk and Sulu, and the calculations that allowed the Enterprise to become invisible to the Romulan mining ship.

Personality:
If Chekov could be summed up in three words, they’d be intelligent, enthusiastic, and awkward. He’s good at his job, and very determined to prove himself capable despite his age. He takes failure personally, and uses it as motivation to improve. However, as is common with young geniuses, he finds it a bit harder to interact with the people he works with on any level aside from professional. The age difference is the most likely suspect for this, with the added fun of maturity and intelligence not quite synching up. That’s not to say he’s socially inept, but it is more of a struggle for him.

Other:
If accepted, I’ll be stealing bits of Chekov from Star Trek: The Original Series, as it shows him as a more fully developed, though essentially the same, character. By which I mean it shows faults. For instance, in the show he often gets historical facts wrong. I’d like to continue that for, math genius though he is, he isn’t an expert in history.

Also from TOS is his inability to fight. He’s more willing to fight for his crewmates than himself, and while he’s not very good at it, sheer enthusiasm allows him to claim victory from time to time.

First Person (entry type):
Ya ne ponimaju. The computer should not be picking up this signal. The magnetic fields alone…well it is very unlikely. I was told not to worry, and I am not worrying, but this is weird, yes? And if it is harmless as I am told, then no one will mind if I look.

So this is a…what is this? Have I contacted a foreign command? I didn’t mean to, but the signal was unprotected and there was no encryption. It does not look very formal, so I do not think it is Starfleet but-- Oh! The captain will wish to know what you are called! I don’t think the name I’m seeing is the correct one. Pardon me, I am Ensign Pavel Andreievich Chekov of the USS Enterprise. However, I am off duty, so this is not an official inquiry.

[identity profile] notheoryinchaos.livejournal.com 2009-05-17 10:07 am (UTC)(link)

Third Person: Warm.

Pavel Andreievich Chekov occasionally found climate control to be the bane of his existence. It didn’t break on the Enterprise, because she was a good ship. There were a few hiccups in the beginning, when things slowed down enough after the Romulans for them to notice something as trivial as comfort. Overall, however, things ran smoothly and the entire ship was kept at a pleasant temperature. And that, ladies and gentleman, was what plagued Chekov on odd nights when his brain was too busy crunching equations to sleep.

Back in Russia, where the snow was whipped about by sharp winds and never disappeared completely, it was never so warm. It made little sense to Chekov that space would be warmer. He missed the cold, and all the little ills it brought with it. The numb fingertips and aching breaths that had marked his childhood were no longer within his reach. Seasons didn’t come and go in the Enterprise’s halls. Occasionally he’d give in to temptation and change his room’s settings, but safeguards kept it above what Chekov wanted.

Bypassing the safeguards would be foolhardy and, more importantly, it would be flagged in the system and he would have questions to handle. Chekov wasn’t terribly eloquent on a normal day, he cringed to think of how he would sound as he tried to explain that he was homesick. It would be a feeble reason at best and he certainly didn’t want to chance his place on the ship. Starfleet already viewed Chekov as young, and there was no reason to remind them of how young he actually was with a childish stunt like that. For as much as he missed Russia, Chekov thought he would miss the Enterprise just a bit more. So he endured the steady warmth and the stable temperatures, and at night he dreamt of ice and cold.

WADE WILSON

[identity profile] loquacious-merc.livejournal.com 2009-05-17 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Character Notes: LOL SPOILERS.
History: Tbh, there is not much that can go here. Wade's history is a ~*mystery*~ for film-verse, at least up until he joins Stryker's group. It'll probably be explored in the Deadpool movie that comes out in 9 million years. Um, basically, he joins Stryker's group because he's a mercenary, and Stryker tells him that they act outside of the law. They go around busting heads trying to gather adamantium ore in Africa. He really enjoys it. He talks a lot and Stryker tells him he'd be the perfect soldier if it weren't for that mouth. Once all the adamantium is gathered, after Logan has left the group, they start hunting and kidnapping mutants and holding them captive on Three Mile Island so that Stryker can harvest their powers and put them into Wade Wilson, turning him into Weapon XI a.k.a. Deadpool a.k.a. the mutant manhunter or something really gay like that. He is injected with basically every mutant ever's DNA and winds up with Scott Summers' powers, except he's able to control them, he gets adamantium bonded to his body, he gets Logan's regenerative powers, and he has sword-claws. They sew his mouth shut, his face is fucked up and they program him so he'll obey Stryker's every command, and then Stryker sends him after Logan. Deadpool loses, and is left under the rubble of the silo at Three Mile Island. At the end of the credits, he's seen pulling his decapitated head back towards him, mouth now opened up, shhing the camera.
Personality: Wade has absolutely no qualms with killing people. In fact, he plays mercenary because he's damn good at it and more importantly because he loves his job. Call it a sadistic streak. Stryker's group is perfect because he can do his job while remaining outside of the law. He also runs his mouth. A lot. Like, rambles, a la the way this app is rambling. He even runs his mouth while he is killing people, leading people to call him the "merc with a mouth." He often gets B| faces from Sabretooth and Agent Zero over it. He is a pretty laid back guy, taking things in stride, and not often flipping his shit like Logan likes to. He's awful at taking societal cues - or rather, he ignores them. He ignores whatever's politically correct, and he loves to make ridiculous allusions to obscure pop culture.
Other: He uses swords. Really well. Like, you'd think it was a mutation, but he's not actually a mutant prior to becoming Weapon XI. He loves the Golden Girls, claims that he has the unique ability to tell the Olsen Twins apart, he has some weird obsession with the spleen, and he makes childish replacements for curse words. I'm assuming he knows several languages, considering he plays translator in the movie when Stryker is interrogating the Nigerian village.

Are you at least 15?: Yes!
Current Characters: None

Character: Wade Wilson, pre weapon XI
Fandom: X-Men Origins movieverse
Character Notes:
History:
Little is known about the Wade Wilson we meet in X-Men: Origins. He’s a mercenary hired by William Stryker for a special mutant team. The film doesn’t reveal much about his life before joining Stryker, so I’ll take bits and pieces from comic canon for more depth:

Wade Wilson’s father was an army general. His mother, occupation unknown, had a terminal illness and eventually died from lung cancer. After this, Wade’s father entered a downward spiral of alcoholism and began behaving abusively towards Wade. However, this came to an abrupt end when Wade’s father was killed in a bar fight. Wade had reached the age of 17 by this point, and shortly after his father’s death, he left high school and enrolled in the army, joining the Special Forces.

This didn’t last for very long either, due to Wade’s chronic inability to respect any sort of authority. He fell into mercenary work, and developed a reputation as an expert swordsman and martial artist (this is shown in the film).

Wade Wilson - 2

[identity profile] chinese-lily.livejournal.com 2009-05-17 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)

Personality:

First and foremost, Wade’s authority problem makes him cocky and sarcastic. He’s also extremely talkative, and never seems to run out of things to say, even when no one around cares to listen.

Despite his veneer of the cocky, motor-mouthed mercenary, Wade has a violent streak and truly enjoys using his weapons to their best effect and taking lives. This is why William Stryker picked him for the special team, although he’s constantly irritated by Wade’s wisecracks.

We also see evidence of Wade’s rather mean streak in a scene in X-Men: Origins when, with a smirk, he tells the members of Team X about ruining his ex-girlfriend’s wedding.

Other:

Should I be accepted, I’ll be playing Wade Wilson as a member of Team X, before volunteering for the Weapon XI program.

It should also be noted that Wade seems to have a knack for languages: he is seen in the film as speaking a remote African dialect, which alludes to his extensive travelling and mercenary work.

First Person (entry type):
Well, when Stryker told me he was putting together a special team, I wasn’t sure what he meant by “special.” That word doesn’t cover the Thundercats reject who needs a bath, the African-American who thinks he’s a member of Lone Star, or the brick shithouse who appears to wear his heart, quite literally, on his sleeve.

Not sure what to make of Logan. Guy keeps himself to himself, seems friendly enough, although something makes me wonder what he’s doing here.

Make the most of it, I guess. Stryker promised two things: exotic places, and people to kill. That’s my kind of trip.

Anyway, signing off now. I’ve just discovered my ex-girlfriend’s planning her wedding. How to make a memorable entrance…

Third Person:
“If it weren’t for that mouth on you Wade, you’d be the perfect soldier.”

Barely controlling the urge to sneer, Wade performed a mockery of a salute at William Stryker’s back. God, he’d never met a man who needed to be laid as much as Colonel Stryker did. His shirts and jackets were always starched; Wade would bet money that the man even combed his pubic hair. What a straight-laced bore. Men like him were the reason Wade had left good ol’ Uncle Sam in the first place.

Still, he didn’t have too much reason to complain. He looked around him at the piles of dead and dying men in the sterile grey room. He’d done that – hacked limbs, stopped bullets, sliced flesh. The chaos of destruction was what he lived for. All he needed were his blades and the clothes on his back.

Wade tuned back in to the action in the room just as Stryker was informed about the black rock he seemed fascinated with. It looked as if they were on the move again. And not a moment too soon.

So uuh. I'm sorry to bother you guys since most of you mods are probably pretty busy with rl stuff, but... none of the apps here seems to have gotten looked at yet. Maybe it's just me being used to seeing the new characters roll in every week on Sunday, but... yeah. Wondering why.

[identity profile] carnality.livejournal.com 2009-05-18 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
They seem to have not been looked at because they haven' been.

The simple answer is because I've had a fucked up sleep schedule and that on top of trying to find a job has limited my time; that being said, I'm trying my best to get to them on saturday's, but that doesn't always happen. They'll be done by today.
