Jenny Humphrey 2/?

After this point in her life, Blair and her friends made Jenny's life a living hell. They teased and taunted her, insulted her, and pretty much did everything in her power to make her either quit or be expelled from school. But Jenny stuck around through it all and earned a thicker skin because of it, and she's become a bit more jaded about the world due to all that she put herself through during her first school year at Constance. She's learned now that life isn't about money or who you're seen speaking to, and doesn't care about being popular, she just wants to find friends who are honest and good to her.

At the end of her freshman year, Jenny recieved an internship offer at the fashion company Blair Waldorf's mother operates, and she eagerly accepted the offer despite the connections to Blair. There, she worked hard all through the summer and into the school year, where she realized if she worked hard enough she could really have a big name in fashion. Her focus going into her sophomore year at Constance was her fashion career, and because of this, she started skipping school in order to finish projects and come up with new designs. When her father found out, he made her quit her job and grounded her, which led to Jenny sneaking out and eventually being kicked out by her father. During this time period, she designs her own fashion line, and after meeting a model named Agnes, they set out to have an underground fashion show during fashion week. The show was a huge hit, and Jenny got some popularity, but her father was furious with her and lost all trust in her. After some ups and downs (including quitting her fashion internship and finally being allowed to be home schooled, although she seems to be still be enrolled at Constance again on the show), Jenny has ended up back home and is currently trying to balance school and her fashion job, while working to get her family to trust her once again.

Personality: Jenny's one of those teenage girls that's always going out of her way to try and fit in. She tries too hard, which usually ends up making her look desperate and stupid, but she always realizes her mistakes that she makes and fesses up to them. Ever since starting school at Constance Billard, she's become a little more snippity and hardened then she was growing up, just because she's had to grow a tough skin in order to put up with being picked on by Blair and her crowd of it girls. She's a generally sweet natured girl, however, and usually always tries to do the right thing in a situation. She has been known to lie to her parents, and run off and do things her parents don't approve of, and she was caught shoplifting while trying to prove herself worthy of being in Blair's in-crowd; but Jenny always ends up doing the right thing in the end, and tries her best to make things right for people she might have wronged. She's usually the first to offer help when others need it, and she's always the first to offer an apology in a fight. She's not the best person to go to for advice, since she usually is the one needing it herself, but she always tries to play the role of supportive friend/sidekick, and is always around when a friend or family member needs a hug or support.

Up until the past couple of years, Jenny was a very naive and sheltered girl who was soft spoken and unsure of herself, but over the past year she's really evolved as a person. She now freely speaks her mind to anyone (before, she only really did to her parents and brother), and she will speak up and stand up for others (where before, she just watched others getting picked on in order to fit in with the popular girls). While she used to be obsessed with fitting in and becoming popular, her focus is now more or less on finding out what's in style at the moment and making her own clothes, and becoming an independent person. She's really big on earning freedom from her sheltered upbringing, and a lot of times tries to act and do things that are more grown up than a 15/16 year old girl should.

She's a very hard worker, and is very dedicated to making a name for herself in the world of fashion. Most everything she does is to further or improve her career, and now that she realizes she can become a big name in fashion, she's not going to stop until she achieves her goal. She's very focused on that goal, but it hasn't consumed her life the same as her previous goal of fitting in and being popular at school has. She doesn't care so much about school anymore, although she hasn't put it off entirely, she's currently fighting to get her father to allow her to be home schooled so she can spend more time in the studio.

Out of all the characters on the show, Jenny is the most like an average teenage girl. She didn't grow up the same privileged life the other girls did, but she wasn't ever left wanting for anything. She's been recently shaken by her parents divorcing and having to move, and while she used to let that get to her, she's finally moved on and is looking forward to the future. She's not meek any longer, and she's really trying to find her place amongst the elite and wealthy of the upper east side in New York. She's become very anti-gossip and very pro standing up for victims of the constant gossip among the people that she's met through school. Her entire attitude about the life she had once fought so hard to get has become very cynical, and she's no longer interested in the cut and proper world of the wealthy and is instead wanting to be seen as unique and stylish in her own way, not as a mini Blair Waldorf. She's come to terms with how she was treated, and has apologized for the things that she did back when she was obsessed with becoming popular, and she's finally at a point in her life where she can hold civil conversations with Blair and the in-crowd, but isn't in any hurry to try and become friends with them once again.

Other: I'm planning on bringing Jenny in from the end of the second season, but I'm not sure what point the other GG characters are, so I'll probably bring her to whichever point the majority are from.

First Person (entry type): Looks like it's another night in alone. Dad's out with Lily, Dan's probably out helping Serena, and I'm not exactly sure where Eric is but we just had a game night last night. I should probably call Vanessa, but I have a dress to finish by Dan's graduation and at the rate I'm going it'll be done by the time he graduates college.

I'm going to have to sell a few of my older designs to get money to finish everything, but first I have to get them from Eleanor's studio. Here's to hoping she won't be difficult when I try to do that. As slow as life has been the past few weeks, I'm really not in the mood for another Waldorf induced drama trip.

Maybe dad will be home early and we can go get ice cream. It's been a while since our last dad/daughter thing, and he is getting all extra-clingy since Dan's going off to college in a few months.

Third Person: Setting aside the green silk dress she had been working with for the past few hours, Jenny sighed and brought both hands up to rub at her temples. It was late, she had a test the next morning, and she hadn't slept properly for the past week. She was either suffering from insomnia or some kind of anxiety, but she figured that was natural for the time of year. It was spring, almost the end of the school year. Blair and the others that had been torturing her the past couple of years were about to be gone and she could finally go to school in peace, but that also meant that Dan would be graduating and leaving the family to go to college. Not that she minded her brother doing that, of course, but she was a little sad at the fact that everyone was moving on in life. There wasn't much time left for game night, or going out for chinese, or sitting together on the futon to watch scary movies on a Friday night. Maybe she had taken too much advantage of all the time they had together growing up, now that they hardly had any, it felt like she was missing out on something really incredible.

"I wouldn't trade any of this in, though. Not for the world." She smiled a little, bringing a hand down from her head to feel at the dress she was working on. It wasn't for a client, so she felt a little unjustified spending as much money as she had on the silk fabric. But she wanted to make something for Serena's graduation present, something that she couldn't go out and buy in a store. She and Dan weren't together anymore, unfortunately, but Serena had always been so kind and helpful. She had used to be Jenny's idol, and it was only fitting that an idol recieve a wonderful present to be sent off to college in.

A glance over at her clock showed that it was well after three am, and she resigned herself to stop working for the night with a drawn out sigh. The dress still had a couple of weeks to be finished in, but she was going to be finished tomorrow if she didn't get a good grade on that history test. So it was ever so reluctantly that she crept over to sit in bed, and pulled her history textbook out from under a pile of scrap fabric. Opening it up, she pulled out some notebook paper that she had crammed in there the last time she had opened the book, which had to of been months ago. Had she really not paid attention in class that long?

She supposed not, her mind was always drifting away to dreams of fashion shows and showing up Eleanor Waldorf during fashion week. Things that happened in the past were of little to no interest to her, but she forced her mind to accept that she had to show some kind of interest in them, and got to work reading about World War II. Battles and death weren't her favorite topics to go over, but she supposed it was better than facing her dad's wrath after bringing home a failing grade in a class she normally would have just sailed right through.
