Character Notes:LOL SPOILERS. History: Tbh, there is not much that can go here. Wade's history is a ~*mystery*~ for film-verse, at least up until he joins Stryker's group. It'll probably be explored in the Deadpool movie that comes out in 9 million years. Um, basically, he joins Stryker's group because he's a mercenary, and Stryker tells him that they act outside of the law. They go around busting heads trying to gather adamantium ore in Africa. He really enjoys it. He talks a lot and Stryker tells him he'd be the perfect soldier if it weren't for that mouth. Once all the adamantium is gathered, after Logan has left the group, they start hunting and kidnapping mutants and holding them captive on Three Mile Island so that Stryker can harvest their powers and put them into Wade Wilson, turning him into Weapon XI a.k.a. Deadpool a.k.a. the mutant manhunter or something really gay like that. He is injected with basically every mutant ever's DNA and winds up with Scott Summers' powers, except he's able to control them, he gets adamantium bonded to his body, he gets Logan's regenerative powers, and he has sword-claws. They sew his mouth shut, his face is fucked up and they program him so he'll obey Stryker's every command, and then Stryker sends him after Logan. Deadpool loses, and is left under the rubble of the silo at Three Mile Island. At the end of the credits, he's seen pulling his decapitated head back towards him, mouth now opened up, shhing the camera. Personality: Wade has absolutely no qualms with killing people. In fact, he plays mercenary because he's damn good at it and more importantly because he loves his job. Call it a sadistic streak. Stryker's group is perfect because he can do his job while remaining outside of the law. He also runs his mouth. A lot. Like, rambles, a la the way this app is rambling. He even runs his mouth while he is killing people, leading people to call him the "merc with a mouth." He often gets B| faces from Sabretooth and Agent Zero over it. He is a pretty laid back guy, taking things in stride, and not often flipping his shit like Logan likes to. He's awful at taking societal cues - or rather, he ignores them. He ignores whatever's politically correct, and he loves to make ridiculous allusions to obscure pop culture. Other: He uses swords. Really well. Like, you'd think it was a mutation, but he's not actually a mutant prior to becoming Weapon XI. He loves the Golden Girls, claims that he has the unique ability to tell the Olsen Twins apart, he has some weird obsession with the spleen, and he makes childish replacements for curse words. I'm assuming he knows several languages, considering he plays translator in the movie when Stryker is interrogating the Nigerian village. Additional Links: K.
First Person (entry type): You know, as much as I enjoy my job, I also enjoy indoor plumbing. Call me high maintenance, but when you're stuck in a camp with five dudes who haven't showered in thirteen days, it gets a little hard to focus on making sure it gets done right.
Why is it that my phone can pick up a signal, but I've been jumping in and out of the Nile instead of getting fluffy, folded towels? This is only solidifying my assurance that the Hiltons are nothing but a disappointment. First, there's Paris' crappy excuse for a porno single, and now there's not even a Nigerian branch. Did you know that Nigeria has their own Hollywood? Yeah, you thought Bollywood was bad. But, at least Nollywood has less singing and dancing.
Why can't we interrogate a civilized city? One with running water and Ralph Lauren in the bathrooms. Victor could really use it. Why are there so many dudes on this team? We need more women.
I'm going to get malaria out here. Well, wait, can you actually catch malaria from someone who's immune to malaria? I thought that was why everyone and their mother in Africa had sickle cell.

Third Person: Well, hello, world. Welcome to Wade's World - no correlation to Wayne's World, I'm sorry to say. You know, I like my job, I really do, but when Victor just keeps expecting us to listen because he thinks he intimidates the other guys it gets old really fast. If Stryker realizes he's paying millions of dollars in salary to be a glorified babysitter for the kitten and his - what, brother? I'm not really sure. I guess that would make for a great plot twist, sure, but is it really accurate for them to be so different? Poor writing, guys.
But that's neither here nor there. We're heading to some diamond trafficker's hideout tonight. Stryker thinks he'll know where we can find that ore he's after, but I know better. We've got about two hours of film to go and that'd be too easy. Logan's been real quiet the past two days, I'm getting the feeling he's going to supervillain out on us or something. Be prepared. I've been sharpening my swords for the past few days. Creed seems to think I'm the one up to something. What is it with these guys and zero trust? I'm trying to be the good guy here, watch their backs. Seriously. You'd think a guy could get a little respect.
How do you even power a spotlight? Are there outlets? I mean, I guess if you got a heavy duty car battery but you'd have to have a pretty big supply. Wonder if I'll get a chance to look on the way out.
Wade Wilson would admit without a semblance of faltering that it was the easiest job application he'd ever filed. No tests, no necessary displays of skill, no need to attest to his (admittedly preceding) reputation. The merc with a mouth, as some would call him, was a top of his class mercenary before Stryker found him, sitting half-loaded at a bar talking the ear off a curvy blonde that was nearly completely ignoring him to send flirty looks at a man brooding in the corner. If Wade noticed, he didn't care. She was still sitting there, wasn't she?
Stryker had tried to pull him to the side. Out of the bar. Wade wasn't moving, and his already rambling speech was louder than usual as he asked how Stryker had found him. Apparently, the Major wasn't interested in answering, and instead offered him money - lots of money, and that sounded good. When he went on to explain the benefits of working for the government in this particular project, Wade was agreeing to sign up before he'd even heard the target or length of the job. Not that Stryker would ever share it. His eagerness earned a pat on the back from the officer, which Wade bore well despite the buzz in his conscious mind.
